Is there a "pause" button for summer?

Summer is going way too fast. Agree?

I've been crafting a lot this week, mostly working on my Smash Book. Do YOU have a Smash Book? If not, you are seriously missing out. It's basically my favorite thing ever. The video advertisement is just plain adorable (youtube it!), and the book itself is to die for. I'll be posting a few pages from mine soon!

This is a thank-you card I made a few weeks ago. This stamp is a very large square originally, but I embossed it and punched it with a scalloped circle punch.

Next is a graduation card I made for a very special girl!

This card could even be used for new babies and weddings, too.

Thanks so much for letting me share with you. I hope your week is going wonderfully. I'll be back soon!

Mini-album for a sweet friend.

Happy Thursday! This week is going by so quickly!

Today I'm sharing a mini-album that I made for a good college friend of mine, Laura. She wasn't able to go home for Easter break, so she spent the weekend at my house! Laura and I are actually going to be roommates next year, so it was great "bonding time." We spent the weekend coloring Easter eggs, baking cupcakes, crafting, and spent lots of time outside. Oh, and we might've gotten a little homework done ;)

Laura's favorite color is yellow, so I gave a Maya Roads chipboard album a white base coat and a light yellow top coat. I sanded and distressed to reveal a little white underneath! This is the album cover.

On the first page, I added a mini envelope and wrote a little note for Laura. The photo on the right is of all of my sisters and Laura on Easter Sunday in our Easter dresses! :)

Detail of a page. I am in love with these stamps from Technique Tuesday.

The last pages of the album. The "precious" letters are chipboard stickers painted white with added Distress Stickles in Picket Fence. I hand-painted the rest of the quote.

I'm really excited for Laura to receive this in the mail because I don't think she's expecting anything at all! That's always the most fun :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Late-Night Crafting

Hi! I hope you are having a wonderful start to your morning!

Last night, I was in somewhat of a "crafters block." I couldn't decide on a design or papers or anything. Until about 12 am. So, I started making cards then! And surprisingly, these are two of my favorite cards I've made for a while.

On this first card, I used my new binding edge border punch from EK Success. I am in love with this punch! The pins inserted into the ribbon are actually corsage pins from Walmart.

On the second card, I used a Hero Arts Clings called "Blooming Meadow." I found this stamp in my drawer, and I realized I hadn't used it yet! So at 12:30 am, I started this card. Haha. I used a couple of different colors on the stamp to add interest.

What time of day is your favorite time to craft? :)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

I'm officially a blogger!

Hi! I hope you are having a wonderful day!

This is my first EVER blog post, and let me tell you, I'm pretty excited. I've wanted to create a blog for a long time, but as a student in nursing school, there hasn't been much time.

Thank God for summer. :)

I created this blog to share my love for card-making, scrapbooking, and life. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts and opinions, so please share! I'm SO glad you stopped by.

A little about myself: I live on a farm in Nebraska and have a big family, four sisters and a brother. My family means the world to me! Besides crafting, I love to run, play piano, be outside, and bake. (especially cupcakes!) I'll be starting my sophomore year as a nursing student in the fall, and someday I hope to work in pediatrics because I absolutely ADORE children.

The first card I'm sharing is a simple thank-you card I made for my sister.

I used a heart punch on a few different scrap papers, folded along the middle, and adhered. The sentiment is a rub-on from my stash. I added a few rhinestones to the center of two of the hearts to brighten it up!

Thank you so much for letting me share this with you! I hope you are having a sweet first day of summer!
